We see no limit to the applications of CMT's Metal Matrix Composites, and therefore see no limit to the industries that it can enhance

Weight saving is not the prerogative of just the automotive sector; aerospace, heavy truck, rail, defence and the renewable energy industries can all benefit from the material, even for static systems. There is considerable potential, for example, in using the material in wind turbine sub-systems, where weight saving in the turbine nacelle can provide secondary benefits in reducing tower, foundation, transportation and erection costs. Aerospace or armour applications, where weight, stiffness and strength is paramount, can benefit greatly from metal matrix composite components.
